A short story told in rose petals

Hello darkness my old friend, I’ve come to talk to you again
~Sounds of Silence, Simon and Garfunkel
I could tell you a long story about the threads of shame in my life. It’s not what’s important, though. Suffice it to say that recently I made a stupid mistake that triggered deep feelings of shame. All day I felt stuck in an emotional swamp so I knew there was more to it than just one error in judgment.
Later that the evening, I lit some candles and opened my heart space to let in the healing light of love and compassion.
I stepped outside and looked up at the clear night sky. The shining stars reminded me about infinite possibility, limitless, boundless, and immeasurable space. I thought, “I am made of stardust and the stars are made of me.”
My spirit is beyond comprehension. My shame story is a brief shooting star, gone today in the light of the sun, drying up like the petals of my roses.
yes
love for you, love for me, love for the stars that swirl in us all <3
